Welcome !
Fibermorphosis™ offers magical color journeys in spinning and knitting. All fibers are hand dyed at my studio on beautiful Whidbey Island, northwest of Seattle in the Puget Sound. My colors are small batch blends of two or more base colors using high quality, environmentally friendly acid dyes, steam set for lasting color.
Hand Dyed Sock Yarn
I hand dye each skein of yarn individually using short blocks of color to avoid striping and pooling. Instead, the colors will blend throughout your knitting.

Hand Dyed Roving
On most rovings, colors are placed and layered, leaving white space that allows the fiber to “fibermorph” into yarn with depth and light when spun. I dye my roving with the end result – beautiful YARN – in mind, rather than trying to create beautiful roving that may give less than spectacular spinning results. I use many different dye styles, incorporating varying amounts of white space.
Stitch Markers
Sterling silver with Swarovski crystals. "Bigger" fits up to US 10 1/2 needles, "Smaller" (not pictured) fits up to US 6 needles.
Patterns and kits
I am working on Island Time Scarves™, a series of scarf patterns designed specifically for Fibermorphosis™ dyed yarn. You can see the first pattern, Reversing Tide, on the Patterns and Kits page.
